My turbo is busted. It's already spitting some engine oils and is becoming very smoky. So I decided to hunt for a good turbo. However, turbo is a very expensive part for a 4JX1, specially the original. It costs around Php 120,000 ($2300 USD) based on my inquiry.
I also asked some alternatives so I found Php39000-50000 worth of class A rehabbed turbos. My last option is to hunt for a surplus that's still good.
By chance, someone tipped me that there is a 4JX1 engine for parts out nearby my place so I checked it out. And here's what I did before buying it.
